How to enable Auto Power On
The P2102 series has two options for auto power on. The easiest and most reliable method is to use the hardware switch underneath the maintenance panel. The downside of this method is that the power button is completely disabled. If you shut down the PC, you will need to cycle power to restart it. If that is an issue for your use case, use option 2 instead.
Option 1: Hardware
- Remove the Torx T10 screw from the front maintenance panel.
- Remove the panel
- Locate the AT ATX switch
- Slide the switch to AT mode for auto power on, slide to ATX to disable auto power on
Option 2: BIOS
- Power on the system and immediately press the Del key a few times to access the BIOS.
- Navigate over to the Chipset tab and open the PCH-IO configuration menu.
- Change the Power Failure option to the desired setting
[Always on]: Enables auto power on.
[Always off]: Disables auto power on.
[Keep last state]: Auto power on only if the unit was already on.
- Navigate to the Save & Exit tab and choose “Save Changes and Reset”
Troubleshooting
How to clear the CMOS
- Unplug the unit completely from power. Unplug all devices.
- Remove the Torx T10 screw from the front maintenance panel.
- Remove the panel
- Locate the clear CMOS switch
- Slide the switch to rightmost position and wait 30 seconds
- Slide the switch back to the left position
- Reinstall the panel and power on the unit
- The CMOS is now clear. Several reboots are normal as the CMOS reinitializes.
